Welcome to my newly launched blog.
I just wrapped up a TV appearance for the Bush-Cheney campaign.
Went on Fox News, opposite Michael Meehan of the Other Side. Glad the host, Rick Folbaum, made light of our standing in today’s discussion: The topic was the women’s vote. I resisted temptation to say something “funny” (the scare-quotes are inspired by my wife – a big fan of yours truly but also a Fair and Balanced voice when it comes to my attempts at humor). I echoed the basics from the President’s message today and took a poke at the Other Guy’s camo jacket. My cohorts and I think the Other Side gave us a little present with his last-minute effort to Goose Up the Guy Vote.
Anyway, I’m a “senior advisor” to the President’s re-election. That means I give ‘em some strategic advice. And then they ask me to cinch up my tie and go on the tube to represent for the president. It’s fun – most of the time.
I’m a big consumer of news and info, so come back here for some commentary on same.
I’m a former White House aide and a businessman. A music fan (more on that in a little while). A family man (passing-references-only is the plan). A proud Southerner with a taste for the city. And so on.
Thanks for checking in. I’ll blog you into some behind-the-scenes stuff and generate a little discussion on topics like politics, public diplomacy and pop culture, to mention a few.
Is Michael J. Fox still a canadian citizen?

I took the wolf commercial as that if Americans
becomes weakened, the wolves were the terrorists that attack. Perhaps I missed the point ...or that I really understood.

This "blog" sucks.
the host obviously has NOTHING intelligent to say.
he probably doesn't read
And can't therefore garner sufficient thoughts to Write.
He's make a good republican president though....

Grim, liberals are the ones who call conservatives mean spirited???? If you have a political point to make then make it! This type of post is unproductive and just makes you look bad.

Subject: How Soon They Forget
Dear George Will,
I've admired your reason and logic for many years. Flatteries aside, there is a list of insidious ironies in the Democratic party's ideology.
1. Bill Clinton turned his back on Sudan's offering up UBL during his watch.
2. Instead, he swung his hips toward Monica Lewinsky.
3. The Dem's penchant for continuing to adore/idolize this paragon of immorality.
4. The Wildeyed fanaticism of so many of Kerry's supporters, i.e., Nancy Perlosi, with her 'peyote-eyed' countenance. Tad Devine, same glare. The List goes on and on.
5. Had B.J. Clinton collared UBL when he might have had a chance, might 9/11 never have occured?
6. It Was Bill Clinton's "BUST" that led to the souring of the economy as the Bush administration took office. It was the rupture of a condom [If he donned one] that led to a stain on a blue dress, and an administration.
7. Bill Clinton's eleventh hour pardon of Mark Rich, now implicated as a beneficiary of the oil-for-food scandals in UN begs the question: "Has Mark Rich set up some billion dollar offshore account for his 'redeemer'"?
8. Bill Clinton aspires to be Secretary General of UN. Is That like putting the fox in charge of the henhouse?
9. Who remembers "Lying Joe Biden"? Is he truly a candidate for a cabinet post in a Kerry administration?
10. Last but not least, the DNC has talked down our economy for 2 years. This incessant clamor, I believe has been somewhat influential in lackluster performance in that arena, plus their continual harangue against our president has to have heartened our enemies abroad, as well as the true insurgents, many of whom occupy seats in our Senate, and certainly most seats "Across the aisle".
The blindness of the American plebiscitery to so many of these facets of reality is sad in this election season.
Respectfully,
Lester C. Shuping, Rockwell NC
