Christian voter is not representative of most Christians. I know alot of far right radicals and they are only interested in the abortion issue. Nothing will keep them home on Tuesday. But at least trolls get a voice here. On the democratic blog you get banned if you say anyting disagreeable to them. They are funny to read though.

JP - Doesn't change the fact that Kerry is LYING to young people about a draft. He is the one who says he'll get 40,000 more boots on the ground. How does he plan to do that? Sorry, young people have been (mis)lead by Kerry's and Michael Moores lies.

Linda: "On the democratic blog you get banned if you say anyting disagreeable to them."

Sounds sort of like Free Republic and Little Green Phlegmballs. Both sides have their echo chambers; I prefer places like this.
.

Linda

Well, the Kicking Ass blog claims that everyone has a voice - Democrats are so much better at free speech than "Repugs". Unfortunatly I've been banned and can't get on to tell them what hypocrites they are.

OHforBush: "Doesn't change the fact that Kerry is LYING to young people about a draft."

He is? Please find me a quote. I've heard his surrogates speculate on it, but since it hasn't happened yet, speculation is all anyone could have. I don't see how either candidate can dismiss the possibility of a draft, if we insist on seeing every problem as one requiring invasion-strength forces.

Linda -- I think you misunderstand the "free speech" issue. A private website is under no obligation to allow anyone to post, and since it's not a government website, there's no 1st Amendment issue.

Forcing people to sign and/or recite a loyalty oath in order to see a public appearance by our highest elected employee IS a 1st Amendment issue, though.

Linda - part of the reason I like this site is because it seems like a fair place to voice opposition. I wouldn't go to an official republican website to kick up trouble. Everyone needs a home base. It is just proper ettiquette.

RH

Good to know that Michael Moore is giving comfort to the enemy.

Here is an excerpt from an interview with OBL's step brother Yeslam bin Ladin in Switzerland(as reported on aol)

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT OSAMA's LATEST VIDEOTAPE?

It was upsetting.

It's the violence. It wasn't a surprise to know that he was still alive. I always thought that if he was killed, everybody would know it. It seems that he might have seen the Michael Moore movie Fahrenheit 9/11.

WHAT'S IT LIKE BEING A BIN LADEN AFTER 9/11?

Very difficult. I had to defend myself. The Attorney General of Switzerland decided to come one day uninvited. He took away cartons and cartons of documents. I understand that after Sept. 11 there was lots of suspicion and that everybody wanted to check everything. The investigation has finished, the file has been closed, and nothing was ever found.

IS IT HARD TO MAKE PLANE OR RESTAURANT RESERVATIONS?

Luckily, when you go out in public, nobody knows who you are. You walk the street like everybody. I've heard comments when I make reservations. If I am going to have lunch with somebody, the reservations would be in his name.

Jeffraham Prestonian

RH: "Good to know that Michael Moore is giving comfort to the enemy."

I think Bush sitting in the classroom reading "The Pet Goat" was more comfort to bin Laden than the fact of anyone reporting on it.
.

Jeffraham Prestonian

RH -- Or are you one of those who think the facts have a distinctly anti-Bush agenda?
.

LupinIII

Lupin - sorry my friend but you picked a BAD subject to put a bet one. Bring it up and you will usually see blame placed on someone else instead of an answer to your question. The fact is Bush didn't do anything about terrorism before 9/11. When he says stuff like "If we would have know terrorists wanted to attack us by flying planes into the WTC we would have moved Heaven and Earth". The problem is he means that very literally. The fact is Bush DID get warnings in briefing called "BIN LADEN TERMINED TO ATTACK INSIDE IN U.S." that talked about Al Qaeda looking to highjack planes. BUT it didn't offer the details of the actual plan of attack so NO plans were taken to stop anything. The fact is Clinton's people told Bush that terrorists would be his #1 priority yet Dick Cheney's "TERRORISM TASK FORCE" never had a single meeting and people. He was busing letting energy companies make their own enery policies. People like John Ashcroft tried to cut terrorism spending. We've got the big-cheese of terrorism knowledge ,Richard Clarke, spending the better part of the year trying to get Bush's attention. And what is the statistic for Bush on vacation in his first year?? 45%? No ... you are going to have a hard time getting facts to prove your point.

Christianvoter

For the record , I am not a "Troll" (wnatever that is) - I would never vote for this Kerry - he is evil. I do not claim to speak for all or most Christians - just the ones I speak to , & there are many. Nor can anyone here make that claim . I'm just pointing out an iasue that the Campaign failed to address & that is costing it some votes that it can ill-afford to lose. We feel we cannot vote for a ticket that has someone that brought a Sodomite into the world on it. I DO NOT support or vote for Democrats. But there is a fundamental problem with this ticket. Someone at Church today suggested that we vote for Our Lord on write-in ballots.I like that idea. We're not sure if that is allowed, but some of us are going to try.

RocketPunch

"I think Bush sitting in the classroom reading "The Pet Goat" was more comfort to bin Laden than the fact of anyone reporting on it."

You can't get any clearer then that. It is all part of the same game. ATTACK the guy who has an opposing viewpoint - don't defend the facts he presents. Michael Moore sold lots of DVD's and had a record-breaking movie in theaters. He didn't do this because he had a message that people don't agree with. His name wouldn't pop up here all the time if he weren't a success. Robert Greenwald made 4 times the "anti-bush" movies that Moore did. You don't see his name in here everyday.

RocketPunch

Christianvoter - I am assuming you are saying that you can't vote for Bush because Cheney's daughter is a lesbian? If so, can you go into a bit more detail. This thought process carries a level of interest for me.

melior

I think writing Our Lord in is a fine idea. Just realize it means we can't sign those "loyalty oaths" that Our Leader requires to attend his presence, cause it owuld be a lie.

melior

It's very rude and shameful to bring up the fact that Dick Cheney's campaign manager daughter is a lesbian. Can't we let that family bear their cross in private?

RocketPunch

melior - lol, sorry about that. I forgot all about the rules of shame and embarrassment.

Jeffraham Prestonian

melior -- I thought Dick Cheney thanked John Edwards for his kind words about his family.
.

Christianvoter

To sum up our point in the simplist terms - If our Vice-President couldn't raise his own daughter properly , how could he be trusted to possibly lead our nation? I'm voting for the LORD!

RocketPunch

Jeffraham - Yes but that is COMPLETELY different. Don't you understand??? You see, when Kerry mentioned it he ...

ummmm ... he ...

errrr ... but ...

ahhhh ...

RAISE THE TERROR ALERT!! MUSHROOM CLOUD CLINTONS FAULT FLIP FLOP FLIP FLOP MICHAEL MOORE 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 ... vote Bush! :)

RocketPunch

Christianvoter - certainly, to have such a strong opinion on the subject, you must have put some serious thought and research into the subject of homosexuals. Do you believe they are gay by choice? Please give me your thought process if you don't mind. Also, assuming you are anti-gay, what do you feel should be done to or with gays in America?

Jeffraham Prestonian

melior, Rocket -- Oddly, no public chastisement of Alan Keyes when he called Mary Cheney (paraphrased), "a hedonist, by definition."
.

Linda

JP - You misunderstand. I am not saying they are obligated to allow free speech. I am saying they claim to allow free speech. They hurt themselves patting themselves on the back for how much more openminded they are than the republicans. Until someone questions a view point. They don't care to have responsible debate like we do here. Thats fine, its their website. It is just very humorous.

RocketPunch

Lupin - if you are still out there I thought you might find this interesting. It is a comedy bit that sums up how most Kerry supporters feel about Bush and most of his supporters. It reflects my statement that you don't get many facts to use in Bush's favor - but you get lots of opinions lots of ... words.

Linda

and what loyalty oath are you talking about? I've seen Bush speak and never had to sign anything.
